We will be using Self-Study Counselor Training and Certification Course(GREEN BOOK) along with exercises from the NTTC Workbook(RED BOOK) in our January 2026 Virtual Classes.
Our main focus will be on the Certification Lessons Advanced Tax Topics starting on page 38 of the (GREEN BOOK.)
The digital PDF version of the (GREEN BOOK) is available here and is important to have for additional links to videos, quizzes, etc.
Returning counselors should review New Volunteer Basic tax Topics prior to Jan.5th. We will briefly review Exercises 1-3 and hopefully touch on the new OBBB (One Big Beautiful Bill) items. Standards of Conduct and Intake/Interview on pages 6&7of the (GREEN BOOK) can be completed in late December.
Due to the numerous changes to Tax Law with OBBB (One Big Beautiful Bill) and significant updates to the 1040 and a new Schedule 1A it will be beneficial to attend all classes.
